Global Retail Enterprise approached Dristi Technologies with a critical business problem: their decade-old e-commerce platform was haemorrhaging revenue. Cart abandonment had climbed to 78%, mobile traffic accounted for 65% of visitors yet converted at less than 1.2%, and peak-season outages were costing an estimated ₹40 lakh per incident. A full platform overhaul — not incremental patching — was the only viable path forward. Over six months, we replaced every layer of their stack while keeping the live store operational throughout, achieving a seamless zero-downtime cutover that their customers never noticed.

How We Delivered Results

We engineered a headless commerce architecture — React.js storefront backed by a Node.js API gateway, with Shopify as the commerce engine and AWS infrastructure for elastic scaling. A strangler-fig migration pattern let us ship the new experience incrementally: search and product pages first, then cart, then checkout. Redis-powered session caching eliminated the cold-start latency spikes. A Cloudflare CDN layer brought median TTFB under 180ms globally. The entire migration was managed behind feature flags, allowing rollback at any layer without user impact.
